COVINA, CALIFORNIA --Nov 21, 2018 -- Suburban Water Systems partnered with Senator Ling Ling Chang (R- Diamond Bar) to distribute 100 turkeys to San Gabriel Valley (Southern California) non-profits as part of their 28th annual "Operation Gobble" program.
Coordinated by the California Water Association, Operation Gobble is a joint philanthropic venture between California water companies and local state legislators that delivers an estimated 30,000 turkeys to low income families throughout the state each Thanksgiving holiday.
"This annual program is part of our ongoing commitment to give back to the communities we serve," said Craig Gott, Suburban General Manager. "We appreciate the opportunity to partner with our legislators and non-profit organizations to help bring a bountiful meal to a number of families this holiday season.”
Suburban distributed turkeys with Senator Ling Ling Chang who selected non-profit organizations in her district to receive the turkeys including food banks, senior centers, youth homes, churches, YMCAs, and others.

Suburban Water Systems serves high-quality water and promotes efficient water use to approximately 300,000 people in or near Covina, West Covina, La Puente, Glendora, Hacienda Heights, Whittier, La Mirada, Buena Park, La Habra, Walnut, and other adjacent unincorporated areas in Los Angeles and Orange Counties, California.
Senator Ling Ling Chang represents the 29th Senate District which encompasses portions of Los Angeles, Orange and San Bernardino Counties, including the communities of Brea, Chino Hills, Cypress, Diamond Bar, Fullerton, La Habra, La Palma, Placentia, Rowland Heights, Stanton, Walnut, Yorba Linda and portions of Anaheim, Buena Park, City of Industry and West Covina.
