Dear Friends,

High rents are a common complaint from my constituents. And, while homeowners can deduct the interest form their mortgages, those who live in rental housing don’t get the same kind of tax break. That’s why I co-authored SB 248 to increase the amount of the renter’s tax credit and save renters money. The tax credit hasn’t been adjusted in forty years.

Sincerely,
Ling Ling Chang
